Word Of Mouth Theatre presents

LIPPY

by Rachel Causer

Rachel has been in awe of funny women her whole life, and now, a quarter of a century in and feeling daunted by the 'Beach-Body ready 'and ‘BIC pens for Her’ culture she needs to channel these strong women more than ever.  Join Rachel as she revisits defining moments from her teens and twenties in Lippy, an innovative, semi-autobiographical lip-sync show exploring gender and authenticity.

Written & Performed by Rachel Causer

Directed by Georgie Staight

Producer Robyn Bennett

Word of Mouth Theatre is a collaboration between Actor & Playwright Rachel Causer and Producer Robyn Bennett. They first met at university and discovered their shared passion for new writing with a clear social conscious. Word of Mouth Theatre was set up in 2017 ahead of touring Causer's Lippy to Festivals across the South-East of England, with the intention of provoking discussion on current feminist dialogues using contemporary means including media & lip-sync.

Lippy ran as part of Brighton Fringe 2018 at The Warren; and at Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2018, as part of the Fragility Takeover.
